Agronomic Programs
Through formal agronomy education and my own execution, I have developed a set of programs that are capable of consistently delivering firm, fast and green conditions. These sound agronomics are a combination of shade mitigation, soil conditioning and nutrient inputs. While much of our industry is science-based, there is still very much an “art” required for providing a world-class course daily. I possess the talent to balance the science and art few peers can match.
Attention to Detail
Every detail matters – no matter how small it is. The golf experience at a premier facility should be comprehensive. In addition to superb playability, the course should be aesthetically pleasing around every corner. I have a strong dedication to monitoring and caring for all details on property, from perfectly square tees to properly trimmed sprinklers to tree plans. It’s also key to understand the nuance and detail of the original design of the course, using this as a way to enhance master planning and tree management.
Leadership
Teaching is as much a part of my job as managing turf. I developed a unique standard operating procedure for my staff that is built around a team atmosphere and pride in our club. Communication is also very important to my success as a Superintendent and Manager. From course happenings to staff meetings, clarity in our operation is critical to create pleased golfers and members, which is always the end-result I strive for in my career.
I am a committed professional who seeks to serve my club expertly with a superbly conditioned course. The next few pages include specific information detailing my career portfolio, with each page link included directly above this paragraph.
